About our weddings work

Weddings are the bulk of what we shoot and the reason this business exists. The frames in this collection come from courthouse ceremonies in the Loop, garden estates out in DuPage County and receptions on rooftops above the Chicago River, which is roughly the range of what a wedding day looks like around here.

A wedding is one continuous run of things that happen once. There is no second take on the walk down the aisle, the reaction on your partner's face, or the moment the room goes quiet for a speech. So the work is mostly about being in position before a thing happens rather than reacting to it afterwards, which is why we spend real time on the timeline and the light at your venue before the day.

What we will not do is hand you a look you did not ask for. Some couples want every frame clean and true to color. Some want deep and moody. Some want the whole gallery in black and white. Send us the photographs you have saved and that is the brief.

Most Saturdays from May through October are spoken for a long way out, so if you have a date it is worth asking early.
