A commercial film has to answer a question, and the first job is working out which one. Why should somebody buy this. Why should somebody come and work here. What does this company actually do all day, given that the website says very little.
We work backwards from that. A recruitment film is mostly the people who already work there talking honestly, shot in the building with good sound. A product film is mostly the product, close and lit properly, moving the way it moves in real use. A brand film is usually a mix of interview audio carrying a set of visuals underneath it, which is the format that survives being watched on a phone with the sound off if the captions are right.
We shoot, direct, record the interviews, cut it, and hand back the aspect ratios you need, including vertical, because most of it is going to be watched on a phone whatever anybody planned.
