Film is the other half of the business and the reason the name has the word in it. Some things do not survive being frozen. A vow said out loud, the noise a room makes, the way somebody moves when they are good at what they do.
We shoot video the same way we shoot stills: to the brief you give us rather than to a template. That can be a short cinematic piece built around music with very little talking, a documentary cut that lets the audio carry it, or a straight record of the whole thing from one end to the other. Most people want some combination, so we usually deliver a short film and a longer cut.
Audio is where most video goes wrong, so it gets treated as seriously as the picture. Lapel microphones on anybody speaking, a feed from the desk where there is one, and a backup recorder running the whole time, because there is no fixing a vow nobody recorded.
What is included
- A short film cut to music, built around the brief you set
- A longer cut where the full run of the thing matters, such as a ceremony or a speech
- Properly recorded audio, with lapel microphones and a backup recorder rather than camera sound
- Vertical cuts for social media alongside the main film
How it works
- Agree the brief Cinematic and short, documentary and long, or both.
- Plan the sound Who is speaking, and how we get clean audio from them.
- Shoot Filmed alongside the stills without the two getting in each other's way.
- Edit and deliver The main film, the long cut, and vertical versions to post.
