Portraits are the widest thing on this list, because a portrait is anybody who needs a photograph of themselves that is better than the one on their phone. Professional headshots for a team page. A set for an actor or a musician. A birthday. A person who has lost weight, changed careers, turned forty, or simply never had a decent picture taken of them.
We shoot these two ways. On a backdrop, where the light is controlled and every frame matches, which is what you want if six people from the same office need headshots that sit next to each other. Or on location, where the place is part of the picture, which is what you want if the photograph is about you rather than about a job application.
The part people worry about is not knowing what to do with their hands. That is our problem, not yours. We direct through the whole thing, we show you frames on the back of the camera as we go so you can see it is working, and we do not stop until there is a set you actually like.
