A proposal is four seconds long and you cannot ask for it again. That is the whole brief.
We scout the spot before the day, work out where the light will be at the time you have chosen, and find a position far enough away that nobody reads us as a photographer waiting for something. Long lens, no tripod, no lighting, nothing that makes a person look twice. You walk her to the spot and we are already shooting before you stop walking, because if we wait for the knee to go down we have missed the turn of her head.
Then we come out and introduce ourselves, and we spend half an hour or so with the two of you while she is still shaking and neither of you has remembered to pose. Those frames are usually better than anything we could set up. We can roll this straight into a full engagement session on the same day if you want to make one trip of it.
What is included
- A scouting pass at the location before the day, so we know where to stand and what the light will be doing
- Hidden coverage of the proposal itself, shot long so nothing gives it away
- A short couple session immediately afterwards, while the reaction is still on both of your faces
- A private gallery you can share the moment you are ready to tell people
How it works
- Tell us the plan Where, what time, and what she must not notice. We work around it.
- We scout it We check the spot and the light beforehand and agree a signal with you.
- The moment We shoot from a distance, unseen, from before you stop walking.
- Straight after We introduce ourselves and photograph the two of you while it is still landing.
