The Shore Path runs around the whole lake past estate lawns and boathouses that are otherwise private, and it is public the entire way. That is the single best reason to shoot here: you get grounds that look like a wedding venue without booking one.
Morning is underrated on this lake. The water goes flat before the boats are out and the light comes low across it, which is why we will suggest a dawn session to couples who are staying over rather than driving up for the afternoon.
It is a destination for weddings and a lot of the ones we photograph here are weekends rather than days: a welcome dinner, the wedding, a brunch. We price and plan those as a run of events rather than a single date, and we stay over rather than driving back to Geneva at one in the morning.
