North Aurora doesn't have the historic core its neighbors do, most of the residential growth here happened from the 1970s through the 2000s along Randall Road and out toward Bell School Road, which means the housing stock is newer and the yards are bigger, good news for anyone shooting a family session at home instead of a park.
The Fox River still runs through town and the parks along it get used for exactly that, weekend family portraits and senior sessions timed around whichever high school's homecoming just happened.
With Randall Road pulling in so much retail and office development, real estate photography here often means newer construction, open floor plans and finished basements, a different job than shooting a century home in Geneva or St. Charles.
