Wayne kept its large lot zoning on purpose, and the result is a town of gravel roads, split rail fencing, and working horse farms rather than sidewalks and cul de sacs, which changes how a portrait or real estate session gets planned here, more open field and barn, less curb and driveway.
Dunham Woods and the properties around it still function as an active hunt club, and equestrian estates along Army Trail Road and Nelson Lake Road bring in real estate photography for a kind of listing you don't see in denser Fox Valley towns, acreage, stables, and long private drives.
Norton Creek winds through some of these properties too, and a portrait session out here often just means finding the right fence line or tree row rather than driving to a park.
